When we have a large snowstorm, there are more dangers than driving on the roads to think about in that weather. One of the biggest dangers is snow and ice covering your vents possibly producing carbon monoxide in your home. Make sure after a storm, you check the outside of your home for snow drifts and clear them immediately. On one of our after-hour emergency service calls, Darrick found a home whose vents were covered by snow that turned off their furnace, and they had no heat. Our after-hours emergency team was able to get us out to find the problem and quickly corrected it.
